Time Freight is one of South Africa's leading road express businesses providing a comprehensive road network for rapid collections and delivery throughout South Africa.
Time Freight was started by Ivor Keppler as a KwaZulu Natal road based operator in 1984.
The business was expanded in 1991 to incorporate Gauteng and the Northern Provinces.
In 1999 the business was acquired by The Laser Group and with the amalgamation of Goeie Hoop Vervoer (a Western/Northern Cape operator) in April 2002,
the division became a national road express operator. With effect from 1 January 2007 the division was transferred into DPD Laser Express Logistics.
All major SA cities are accessed on an overnight basis by the provision of cost effective road services, provided on a door-to-door basis. The company specialises in the express distribution of products and is configured to accommodate mixed loads.
The business' head office is in Pietermaritzburg with major hubs in all main centres complemented by approximately 80 depots and agencies nationally.
The division has a staff complement of 914 people and a vehicle complement of 284.

Executive
Ivor Keppler (56), Non-executive Chairman started Time Freight in 1984 after working for Safcor. Inter City Express for five years as General Manager. Ivor was the previous Chief Executive Officer of Time Freight.
Etienne van Ravesteyn (49), Chief Executive Officer, B Com, has been with Time Freight since 1991 and was previously the Finance Director.
Regional Branch Directors include
Mike Burton (54), has been with Time Freight since 1987. Mike controls the North and South Coast, East Griqualand, Durban and Pinetown.
Dave O'Gorman (59), has been with Time Freight since 1990. Started the Johannesburg depot and controls the Gauteng/Mpumalanga areas.
Anton Kitching (60), is part of the original Goeie Hoop Vervoer team in Cape Town since 1995. Anton controls the Western Cape and Northern Cape regions.
Amit Devir (37), MBA, plays an executive role in the Western Cape operations. He is a qualified engineer.
