Founded in 1990, Dawn Wing is one of South Africa's leading domestic courier companies, trading locally and internationally. Dawn Wing has been awarded the Professional Management Review (PMR) Award for the best Domestic Courier Company in South Africa for the past seven years (2001-2007).

With effect from 1 January 2007 the division was transferred into DPD Laser Express Logistics. Dawn Wing provides a comprehensive suite of express delivery solutions including a same day, overnight, economy and road freight service and express warehousing. These services are supported by a full suite of technology solutions including an interactive web site, which enables clients to track and trace shipments, download data and operational reports on real time basis.

Dawn Wing has a national footprint and services the whole of South Africa with distribution hubs in all the main centres. A vast number of international destinations are serviced through its link into the DPD network. Its major distribution hub is located in Aeroport, Johannesburg, and is a 12 000 sq metre facility. Dawn Wing has a staff complement of 510 people and a vehicle fleet of 194.

Michele (Mike) Andrea Fanucchi (43), CEO since 1 August 2007 was, prior to joining the Group, a board member of Imperial Logistics, formally as Marketing and Development Director and then Director responsible for the Transport and Warehousing Division.

Eddie Vosloo (41), Operations Director, has 13 years experience in the courier industry and joined Dawn Wing in June 2002.

Ashen Govender (35), IT Director has been with Dawn Wing since its inception 18 years ago. Ashen also heads Group IT.

Neil Kohler (30), CFO joined Dawn Wing in June 2007, has 4 years experience in the logistics and clearing and forwarding industry and was previously with ZATrans.

Xavier Leger (37), International Operations Executive was previously based in New York and joined Dawn Wing in June 2007 from the GeoPost group. He has 14 years experience in the express distribution industry.
